Diets That Work

The weight loss industry is a multi-billion dollar industry.  People spend tons and tons and tons of money trying to lose weight.  A huge part of the process is trying to decipher, of the many and many diets that are available, which are the diets that work.  There are tons of scams out there, and so it is good to be told just exactly what will and will not work when it comes to diet plans, diets, diet pills, and even those lovely fad diets.

Diet Plans That Work

There are many different diet plans out there, and so it is hard to choose which one is best for you.  Each of the plans has testimonials saying that it will work, and so it becomes hard to trust which ones will actually work.  Another thing to consider about diet plans is whether or not it will work for you.  There are some diet plans that work for some people and there are some that do not really work for everyone.

One example of that is the Atkins diet.  Yes, cutting carbs can really help you to lose weight, BUT only for people who are sedentary.  If you are active, cutting out carbs will probably make you gain weight, because you will have no energy to exercise, and so your calorie intake will probably remain the same but you’ll be burning less calories.  Also, for those that do see success with the Atkins diet, it is not a long-term or permanent solution because carbohydrates are necessary in the right amounts.

Weight watchers has also been successful for some people, but many people don’t want to have to count points, and they end up finding that they are cheating on their points more and more often, because of laziness of not tracking their points properly.  Weight watchers is definitely not one of the diets that work fast, but it can work with the right dedication and focus.

Diet Pills That Work

Diet pills should never be used exclusively to lose weight.  If you combine them with a healthy diet and exercise, then you really can see results with diet pills.  Most diet pills are scams.  The internet has been overrun by Acai Berry scams and Resveratrol scams.  These pills claim that they can you can lose massive amounts of weight quickly by just taking them.  Beware… most don’t work.

Fad Diets That Work

Fad diets that work should be an oxymoron.  Fad diets come in and out of style quickly because they end up not working.  There’s a reason stuff like Weight Watchers and the Atkins diets have stayed around so long, it’s because they do work for a lot of people.  But, fad diets like the lemonade detox diet, or the Hollywood diet, or the Cookie diet all fade away because they simply don’t work long term.

These fad diets may be great at helping you to lose weight fast, but you will probably be very unhealthy and the diets will eventually hit a peak at which point you will gain all of the weight that you lost back, and fairly quickly at that.

So What are the Diets that Work?

If you combine proper nutrition and exercise (both cardio and resistance training) you will see results.  You don’t need to get any fancy fad diets or diet pills, just good old fashion proper diet and exercise.  If you want a plan that will give you shopping lists, ideas for great foods that you will enjoy and that will be nutritious, and exactly what exercises to do each day and why, then I’d definitely recommended checking out “Lose 30 in Thirty” by  Rocco Castellano.  He will guide you through the right foods to eat and the right exercises to do for 30 days, and he promises that if you follow his system that you will lose 30 pounds in thirty days.  He even helped a girl for losing 30 pounds in 30 days on TV, and he won an Emmy for it.
