Female Abs Muscle

Having a great set of female abs is something many women dream of, but actually having them is another story.  Most women’s bodies naturally have a layer of fat covering their abdomen which makes it difficult to even find a female ab let alone have any definition.

The first thing you need to do if you want to have female six pack abs is to concentrate on losing the fat covering your belly.  It really comes down to eating a healthy, low fat diet combined with exercises for overall body toning and strength as well as specific exercises which concentrate on the abdominal region.

To get the best female abs you will need to first concentrate on your nutrition.  Your diet needs to have plenty of protein to help promote muscle growth and fewer carbohydrates.   You should eat 5-6 smaller meals a day instead of just three or fewer in order to keep your metabolism running high and to burn fat and calories.  Of course you will also want to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and fiber.

In addition to overall strength training you will want to add in some flat stomach exercises as well.  You don’t necessarily need to try for female bodybuilder abs, but you do need to concentrate on building muscle and strengthening your body if you want your abs to look great.   If your goal is just shedding a few pounds then your ab workout can consist of plenty of cardio exercise.  If you are looking to build female six pack abs, then in addition to cardio you will want to add some resistance training as well.

The important thing is to find an exercise routine that will both help you lose weight and build muscle at the same time.  Remember, you will need to be patient and consistent in your effort.  It takes time and hard work to acquire the hot female abs that you desire.  Probably the most important thing you can do in terms of your abs workouts is to be consistent.  Also vary your workouts so you aren’t always doing the same exercises every time.

Some of the best exercises for female abs include crunches, sit ups, leg raises, scissor and bicycle kicks. These exercises will help to strengthen, tone and define your ab muscles.   You will also need to add in cardio exercise such as walking, running, cycling, and swimming.  Cardio exercises will help you burn the fat around your belly.
