Great Weight Loss Motivation Tips

It is easy to be pretty motivated when we first start out on a weight loss program.  We have the picture in our head about what we will look like and that helps us to really be motivated to start.  If the weight loss begins to not go as we planned, then that can cause discouragement, as well as causing you to not want to continue.  As we go through each day of our weight loss journey we need constant reminders and constant weight loss motivation to keep us on track.  I will give you some great ideas to hopefully help you to stay the course and finish your weight loss goals.

Write down some goals.  Many people stumble in their weight loss journey because they don’t set their goals and expectations properly.    Having a goal that you know you can achieve is definitely a major motivator.  If you are wanting to lose, say 40 pounds, then if you break that up into smaller pieces that will help you to keep the motivation going.

Keeping track of your weight loss through the journey can help.  Some people would suggest to keep a food journal or even a diary of your weight loss each week, so that you can look back.

Having someone else like a friend along side you while you are walking this weight loss road, will be a great way to motivate yourself and them.  Group support, like a weight loss group for support can be a motivator for some people.

Make sure to reward yourself for reaching your goals.  This can be some great weight loss motivation and a way to push yourself further even when you feel like giving up, because you’ll want the satisfaction from the reward.  Then, set a new goal with a new reward!
