How To Workout When You’re Travelling
When people travel a lot for their jobs, sometimes it is hard to work out to keep fit. There is the fatigue factor of being on the road, then the fast food contributes to their poor diet, and to top it off there’s the lack of a gym or workout equipment in the more modest hotel establishments. However, where there is a will, there is a way to exercise even if you are on the road. Below are some simple exercises that you can do in the privacy of your hotel room.
One of the best exercises that you can do and one that requires no equipment at all is the push up. All you do is lie on your stomach with your head down, legs straight and then you push your body up with your hands. Try not to cheat by lifting your bum up as your back needs to be flat. If you’re got the push ups down pat and you’re an expert, you can try something more challenging such as the towel fly. This exercise requires a towel under each hand and you slide your hands out wide while you’re going down and bringing them together when you’re pushing up. These exercises are great for the triceps and pectoral muscles.
Another standard exercise that requires no equipment at all are sit ups. No matter if you’re male or female, people like washboard stomachs on both sexes. Sure, you can try to look slimmer by wearing compression underwear but why not just try to work out when you’re bored in your hotel room? Lie on your back with your knees bent slightly and your hands behind your head. Using your core muscles, try to lift your upper body up while not curling your neck. Again, there are more advanced versions of this exercise that requires the legs being straight while you jackknife and try to touch your toes.
While it is lonely being away on the road from family and friends, take a look on the bright side. You can surprise them by appearing better than ever before without the benefits of slimming underwear.
