Lose Weight in 2 Weeks and Keep it Off

Everywhere you look you see advertisements on losing weight quick and instantly.  Unfortunately, they are all hiding fine print that points out that the results shown are abnormal and not what the average person can expect.  The miracle cure to losing weight and keeping it off is based heavily in your own willpower to stop doing the things that are bad for your body.  A lot of people like to jump over board and assume to be healthy they have to drink wheat grass shakes and eat food that tastes mostly like cardboard; this is completely untrue.  You can lose weight in 2 weeks and keep it off while remaining healthy and eating meals that are tasty and enjoyable, but you need the willpower to not go overboard.

The first step is exercise.  If you don’t exercise it won’t matter if you only drink wheat grass shakes and eat rice cakes.  Your body needs to be active in order to be fit and we aren’t talking about spending half your life in a gym sweating to the oldies.  A moderate exercise plan mixed with a moderate diet is your game plan to becoming fit and healthy.  The recommended starting point is an hour of cardiovascular exercise on five days of the week.  Your body needs time to recover so the other two days can be thought of as resting days.  Whether you choose to power walk, use a stationary bike, or do an aerobics class, you need to get your body up and moving.

The diet is the other side of the coin.  If you are eating an entire pizza for lunch and four cheeseburgers for dinner, running a daily marathon is not going to help you lose weight.  There is some very simple math behind losing weight.  You have to burn more calories than you eat.  If you do this consistently, you will lose weight; it is as simple as that.  There are tons of easy ways to supplement the bad things we eat with healthy foods.  You can replace a hamburger with a turkey burger and replace the bun with a lettuce wrap.  Little things like this will cut out major chunks of your calorie intake.  Soft drinks are another major culprit.  You need to start replacing your cans of soda with bottles of water.

Life is full of ways to exercise and ways to eat healthier.  If you do these two small steps and keep up with them you will lose weight in 2 weeks.  The weight will stay off and you will feel healthier and more active.  As time goes on you can teach yourself to exercise more often and eat better.  It is important to still spoil yourself now and again, but you need to remember portion control.
