Reducing Stress With Juicing
Many have long touted the benefits of juicing. Most people do not consume enough vitamins and minerals in their daily diet. When we look at ways to relieve stress, paying attention to physical health is a great way to defend the body against stress. Juicing can help relieve stress and strengthen the body with vitamins and minerals and give your body the first unprocessed sources of these basic nutrients that most of us do not consume enough of in our diet. Here is a great recipe for a stress busting juice which can benefit the health in general also. This is an amazing drink and has great taste that will streamline and fortify the body against daily illnesses and diseases.
It is advisable to use a quality juicer such as the Jack Lalanne Juicer Pro which will extract more of the juice and, therefore, nutrients from the food. This will allow you to benefit more form the natural properties of the foods.
Stress Buster juice ingredients (the ingredients below are enough for a large cup or a tall glass. You can adjust the amount or alter the amounts of individual ingredients.
3 whole carrots
4 sticks celery
1/2 a beet
2 cloves of raw garlic (If you prefer, you can omit the garlic, but it does have many health benefits)
1/4-1/4+ Cup lemon juice 100%
Directions:
1). Prepare and wash the carrots, celery and beet. You need not peel the carrots, but be sure to cut all the ends of the carrots and celery off.
2). Put the carrots through the juicer.
3). Then, juice the 1/2 beet. You want to juice the beet first and then the celery to allow the celery to clean the juicer.
4). Then, take the 4 sticks of celery and 2 cloves of garlic and juice them. Juicing these two ingredients together is a key step in the process. Doing this pulverizes the garlic more and allows more juice to be extracted.
5. After finishing the extraction of juice from the above ingredients, pour the 1/4 cup lemon juice in a glass. You can increase or decrease the amount of lemon juice if you prefer the taste more or less acidic.
6. Enjoy!
