Stop Making Excuses for Your Weight
Want to get some where with your fitness? Want to achieve quick weight loss or fast muscle gain? I have a solution, it is incredibly simple yet profound. Stop making excuses.
One of the most common excuses I hear when it comes to fitness that at first seems legitimate is…. I put in a full days work doing this or that, I mowed the lawn and that was cardio, I walked to work, what ever. If you want to lose the gut and pack on some muscle, shut up and hit the gym, or the track whatever your fancy. What separates the winners is from the losers is often just their ability to show up.
I am often asked how I am able to retain my athletic body while working a full time job and raising children. It is simple. I am willing to put in the time and the effort that it requires. Sure I get tired, I drink coffee, but I do what it takes to show up, and that is what makes the difference.
I know many people who work physical jobs or put in a hard days work in the yard. While it would be great to count these activities towards actual exercise I hate to tell you that if you want to really get lean or get big these activities just do not maintain the required intensity or focus that is required to see results.
Physical activities can be broken down two categories. Those that are exercise and those that constitute an active lifestyle. Being in really great shape requires components from both of these categories, want to stay trim and feel pretty good focus on one or the other. If you want to whole package like many folks do focus on adding intensity to both categories. Whether you do a home exercise program, hit the gym, or play sports throughout the week, it doesn’t matter, you need to be doing something.
You have to ask yourself how bad you really want to be in shape and you have to realize that getting and staying in shape is a lifetime commitment of hard work. Guys realize that this may be more than you are willing to commit to and for you don’t fret remember that if you treat a girl right they don’t really care what you look like anyway. But if quick weight loss or fast muscle gain is something you are willing to commit to then stop making excuses.
